Amrit is a Research Fellow at the Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development at the University of Leeds, UK, working on a global surgery project across Sierra Leone and North-East India. A social scientist by training, Amrit has earlier worked as a lecturer/researcher in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. She is Principal Investigator of the CTS Phase 2 Project, 'Participatory Arts for Health Improvement (India)'
