Edwin Cubillos, a social work professional, researcher and cultural agent with an emphasis on human rights and historical memory. He has a Master’s in Cultural Studies and specialized knowledge in participatory and community photography. Currently, he is also a lecturer at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Programme Coordinador in the Museum of Historical Memory of Colombia.
Edwin acts as the representative on the YouthLEAD team for the (CNMH). CNMH is an autonomous, public institution created with the mission to contribute to the integral reparation of and right to truth for both victims and the society as a whole, with respect to the memory of the State and the violations that have occurred during the Colombian armed conflict, with an eye toward the construction of peace, democracy and reconciliation.
Within this entity, the Museum of Historical Memory of Colombia, in the process
of creation, aims to construct a space for symbolic reparation and support for the guarantee of the non-repetition of violence with the aim of strengthening collective memory around the events that have developed during the recent history of violence in Colombia.
Edwin is a delivery partner on the Phase 2 project 'YouthLEAD' (Colombia).
