The Planet of No Memory (Youth Research Board Fanzine)
The Preserving Memory group within the Changing the Story Youth Research Board is comprised of four members with a great point in common: to understand the past and all its complexity in order to embrace young people's future through critical thinking. Memory is the best way to build our journey through time, not repeating the same mistakes and to faithfully, making better changes.
The group is comprised of Antonia and David from Colombia, both visual artists who are looking for a better future by unearthing memories that were hidden through animation and images, Trina from Kosovo, who is understanding the past through sociology and activism collectively, and finally Leonard from Rwanda, who is finding his path through literature and poetry with great sensibility.
The Planet of No Memory fanzine is a product of the groups arts-based research with three Changing the Story commissioned research projects: The Making of the Museum of Education (Kosovo), Mapping Community Heritage with Young People in Rural South Africa, and Building Trust for Truth-Telling among Former Child Soldiers: Animation for Inclusion and Peacebuilding in Colombia. The fanzine imaginatively explores how young people working on each of these projects perceive memory through eyes of aliens on the fictional planet DATL who are viewing earth.

El grupo de Preservación de la Memoria, dentro del Consejo de Investigación de la Juventud 'Changing the Story', está formado por cuatro miembros con un gran punto en común: entender el pasado y toda su complejidad para abrazar el futuro de los jóvenes a través del pensamiento crítico. La memoria es la mejor manera de construir nuestro viaje a través del tiempo, para no repetir los mismos errores y realizar fielmente mejores cambios.
El grupo está formado por Antonia y David de Colombia, ambos artistas visuales que buscan un futuro mejor desenterrando recuerdos que estaban ocultos a través de la animación y las imágenes, Trina de Kosovo, que está entendiendo el pasado a través de la sociología y el activismo colectivo, y finalmente Leonard de Ruanda, que está encontrando su camino a través de la literatura y la poesía con gran sensibilidad.
El fanzine Planet of No Memory es un producto de la investigación artística del grupo con tres proyectos de investigación encargados por Changing the Story: The Making of the Museum of Education (Kosovo), Mapping Community Heritage with Young People in Rural South Africa, y Building Trust for Truth-Telling among Former Child Soldiers: Animación para la inclusión y la construcción de la paz en Colombia. El fanzine explora imaginativamente cómo los jóvenes que trabajan en cada uno de estos proyectos perciben la memoria a través de los ojos de los extraterrestres del planeta ficticio DATL que ven la Tierra.
