Wee Chan Au is a Lecturer in the Department of Management at Monash University, Malaysia. She joined the university in 2012. After a career in industry, she obtained her PhD from Monash University. Her research interests lie in the area of Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour and Entrepreneurship. She has published her research work in international journals and presented in international conferences. She actively works on national and industry related projects commissioned by Economic Planning Unit (under the Prime Minister’s Office) Malaysia, Malaysian Plastics and Machinery Association (MPMA), Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia, and British Council. Recognising the importance of social entrepreneurship in creating positive change in society at large, she co-developed new module on Social Entrepreneurship (3rd year level) in 2016. During the process, she recognised the issue of lack of social entrepreneurship case studies from the local and regional perspective, which motivated her to start collecting stories of social entrepreneurship in Malaysia and Southeast Asia context. 

Wee Chan is a Co-Investigator on the Phase 2 project 'Youth led social enterprises' (Malaysia) and the Large Grant project 'Building inclusive and sustainable civil society: A social entrepreneurship toolkit created by and for young people' (Cambodia and Malaysia).
